Presented by: Shaun Hassel, Advanced Energy
Session Description:
This session will explore real-world data analysis of energy-efficient new homes programs, providing detailed results from the Houston Energy Efficiency Study. The Houston analysis draws from an unprecedented data set from more than 150,000 homes, exploring the performance differences between standard-built, ENERGY STARĀ® and guaranteed performance homes.
Evaluating homes programs with real-world data allows us to compare actual versus predicted performance, as well as identify construction techniques and products that deliver truly energy-efficient buildings. In addition to the specific questions of residential energy performance, the results will illuminate the impact that programs like ENERGY STAR for New Homes have on the overall residential new construction market.
