Session Description:

We spend over 90% of our time indoors and our indoor air quality can be five times as polluted as the outdoor air. This will be a unique opportunity for learning and professional exchange in a flexible format allowing for extended in-depth discussion. Key components for the topic will be pre-planning, research & design, the construction process, consumer interest, testing and verification.

Wes Colin

Wes has over 20 years of residential construction management experience including Estimating / Purchasing / Scheduling / Coordination / Supervision / Safety / Quality Control and Planning with certifications in “Built Green”, “The American Lung Association” and “Energy Star” preferred building techniques. Wes is currently the Construction Operations Manager for Bennett Homes, a multifaceted production home builder located in Bellevue, Washington offering entry level, move up, luxury, custom, resort style and multifamily home designs. As a proven leader in the Northwest homebuilding arena, Bennett Homes has received many awards for their achievements in architectural design, land use, sustainable building practices and energy efficiency including the “Best Overall' home at the 2007 Kittitas Tour of Homes, the 2007 “Built Green Pioneer” Award, the Master Builders Association Prestigious Builder of the Year Award for 2003 & 2005, the 2006 “Built Green Hammer” award and the “Gold Nugget” award. Wes was the Construction Manager for their 2009 West Highlands Park “Showcase / Idea” home for the “Built Green” program, the “Energy Star” program, “Environments for Living” program and the “American Lung Association” all certified at the highest levels. Wes is a current member of the Built Green executive committee for the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Wes is currently involved at the design level for another “Showcase Home” with his involvement being focused on the “house as a system” approach to improved indoor air quality.
